But Insulation is one of the most important systems in a building, but it is easily overlooked. This is because what insulation does for a building is not always immediately apparent. If  a home is drafty for example, it's easy to conclude that the cause of the draftiness is the wrong amount of heat, perhaps the HVAC system or furnace simply needs to work harder. Or if some rooms are extremely warm but others are extremely cold. Because insulation is hidden behind the wall and was installed well before the building came online, out of sight out mind can be the prevailing thought with insulation. But this a lacking perspective. Insulation can do more than a furnace or air conditioner to keep rooms a comfortable temperature and reduce energy costs. And in the long run it saves money over other solutions.

Once you've decided that you are in the market for any kind of insulation for your home or commercial building, there's no better choice than call in professionals. You don't want to take the chance of calling in non-professionals or going it alone and doing it yourself. Maybe you've noticed that your home is drafty and you've decided that you need more insulation in your home, or your energy bills all year around are out of control.  You may know you need more insulation in your space but do not know what kind and where. One of our insulation professionals will execute an assessment of your current insulation installation and make recommendations on what will be optimal for your situation.

There are many kinds of insulation and each has it's use in the right situation. What's more depending on the situation needed to be addressed, insulation needs to be put in the right place. For example  say you are looking to insulate an attic. We can advise you on what your best options would be based on your goals. If you need the highest r-value insulation  (r-value is the measure of a material's capacity to transfer heat) spray foam could be the way to go. Closed cell spray foam insulation has the highest r-value per cubic inch of the common insulation materials. The downside is the installation requires the area to be insulated be empty for 24 hours. It is also the most expensive of the common insulation materials. This is because it is expensive to make and requires special equipment to install. If a less expensive option with similar thermal properties is required, a different insulation type say, fiberglass or cellulose could be considered. While neither offers the air sealing properties and water-resistance of spay foam, these downsides can be somewhat mitigated with the right product. Mineral wool in particular is a good deal cheaper than spray foam but more expensive than fiberglass, but offers a a high r-value, fire resistance, and water resistance.
